Lead Teacher – Bumblebee Room
I started working at CMS in 2004. Montessori was all new to me and I was amazed at what I saw the children doing. I learned so much and quickly realized that this was what I wanted to do.
In 2009, I became a lead assistant. I loved being an assistant and getting to know all of the families better. Over the next year, I learned a lot of the Montessori lessons and how to use the materials. The administrator and my lead guide suggested that I take the training to become a teacher. I was nervous but I am so glad that I did. I took the Montessori training in 2012 and co-taught with Ms. Donna for a year in 2014. Since 2015 I have been the lead guide in the Bumblebee classroom.
I have a son in high school who is a Camas Montessori alumni. I love art projects and being creative. On the river or at the beach is where you will find me in my time off. I completed a BAS degree in Human Services in 2022 with plans to better support our staff, our students, their families, and the community.
